Invitation to alums to support the Global AI Hackathon

Dear Alumni,

We’re reaching out with an exciting invitation!

The MIT Club of Northern California CNC, MIT Club of Germany and Hack-Nation are hosting the 5th Global AI Hackathon on Apr. 25-26, 2026 — a 24-hour innovation sprint bringing together MIT students and AI researchers & engineers from around the globe. This hybrid event will be hosted online, with local hubs — including Stanford / San Francisco, London, Munich, Zurich, India (KIIT) and Boston — celebrating hackathon successes through meetups and after-parties.

🚀 Our mission is to spark innovation, foster entrepreneurship, and build community at the frontier of applied AI. Over ~5,000 AI talents from 65+ countries have applied for our previous hackathons and more than 500 AI applications were built during our hackathons in 2025.

We're looking for passionate AI professionals to help make this a success — as mentors, jury members, sponsors, or local supporters in the Bay Area or Boston. Your support and insights would mean a lot to our team of MIT students and alum organizers. Also there is the opportunity to join as a mentor for a startup accelerator incubating AI ventures coming out of the hackathon.

Apr. 25: Mentoring will take place and you can pick any time after 9:00 am PT

Apr. 26 : The jury deliberation, finalist pitches and award ceremony take place 8:00 am - 1:00 pm PT / 11:00 am - 4:00 pm ET
