Please compete the following form to express your interest in being one of Bruisers Vital Connect schools in 2025/26.
VITAL CONNECT offers students and teachers a physical theatre “shot in the arm”, aiming to boost resilience and liberate the imaginations of young people. Vital Connect has been designed to provide schools in Northern Ireland with high-quality drama provisions, irrespective of financial or geographical constraints. Aimed at enhancing theatre skills, broadening curriculum knowledge, and fostering creativity, this initiative offers schools the opportunity to learn from best practices in drama education, while gaining access to theatre professionals and creatives from across the country.
The programme is open to four schools that face barriers to engagement and participation in the arts , whether due to financial constraints or geographical challenges. To participate, schools must provide evidence of the specific barriers they encounter in accessing these opportunities.
1. the number of young people accessing free school meals
2. the lack of access to arts provisions - wither due to funds or location.
For just £1000, the programme offers a valuable package of resources, professional development, and tailored support, with the remainder of the costs generously subsidised by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
Please complete the form below expressing your interest in the Vital Connect programme, you will need to have your evidence of barriers ready as you cannot save this form to fill in at a later date.
The team will assess applications and contact schools who we feel are most fitting with the project aims
