Save Water Drink Wine Rain Barrel Workshop April 8th 2-3 p.m.
Join Sierra Club and Aveda at Meier's Winery for a Do It Yourself Rain Barrel Workshop (6955 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236). Learn how you can collect water from your roof to water your lawn or garden. Rain barrels also help control storm water pollution and alleviate leaky basements while providing free water for landscaping. Each participant can receive a 55 gallon food grade plastic barrel, DIY Earth Minded diverter kit, and learn how to install their barrel at home. We will also have a wine tasting available from Meier's, Ohio's oldest winery. The workshop is FREE to learn but if you take home a barrel and kit suggested donations of $75 to support our Earth Month Clean Water Campaign are greatly appreciated.
We will email you a reminder.
How Many Barrels Would you Like?
The workshop will cover the benefits of rain barrels, how they work, how to make and install your own, and how to link two barrels together using 1 earth minded kit. Barrels, kits, and parts will be available at the workshop so you can install your own barrel at home. We suggest a $75 donation for 1 barrel, and $125 donation for 2 barrels to our clean water campaign to help us improve, restore, and protect our waterways.
Watch the Earth Minded DIY Rain Barrel Instructional Video. The workshop will go over the Earth Minded Kit and we will have used 55 gallon food grade barrels to convert into rain barrels. Don't Forget to RSVP space is limited!
