Self-Care For Action
At our May 12th Camden Regional Retreat- we'll have 2 rotations of workshops all about nurturing the mind, body and spirit so that we can be our best selves and do our best work. There will be 3 different options and you will be in 2. While I will do my best to give you your top preferences, I cannot make promises.

You're choices include:

1. Mindfulness and Meditation: Join for an introduction to mindful meditation and movement activities that you can use in your classrooms, based on Breathe for Change. Led by Michael Madormo, a '09 HI alumnus and current MTLD in North Jersey!

2. Creating a Vision Board: With creative energies (ie art supplies!), we'll use our reflections to create vision boards for who we are and want to be and what we want for the near (and far) future. Led by Diana Williams, CCL and '15 NJ alumnus and current 2nd grade teacher at KIPP Lanning Square.

3. Teacher Nutrition: Together we'll re-conceptualize healthy eating; discuss quick options for nutritious meals and snacks; and leave with a new understanding of how to fuel your body so you can maintain energy in and out of the classroom. No one wants a hangry teacher! Bring your nutrition questions. Led by Maria Sylvester Terry, an ENC '12 alum and a current Masters student in Human Nutrition at Drexel University.
