Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Schools of Hope program with United Way of the Wine Country! People like you are making an incredible difference in the reading skills of our K-3 students across Sonoma County.
We are currently accepting applications to volunteer during the 2019-2020 school year. Tutoring will begin in October and continue until May.
Volunteer orientations will be held in mid-June through September and are required for all new volunteers. You will have the opportunity to select which orientation you would like to attend as you fill out the application.
During your orientation, you will be given information on how to complete requirements for the program, including a TB test and fingerprint background check. You will also be able to select the school where you would like to tutor. There are currently over 25 schools participating in the program in Sonoma County. Available tutoring days and times vary by school.
Once you have selected a school, you will also need to attend a Tutor Training session at your chosen school.
If you have any questions about the application process, please contact Community Benefit Coordinator, Ariel Vipond, by phone at 707-528-4485 ext. 103, or by e-mail at email@example.com.
Thank you again for your willingness to effect incredible change in our community!
