Established in 1976, the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company (HRMDC) is the oldest dance group at Harvard College, and this semester we are celebrating our 50th anniversary!!!
We are a contemporary dance group that welcomes a wide variety of dance styles, dedicated to creating and supporting innovative student choreography and performance. We are a no-cut company and welcome dancers with any background. We offer members weekly company classes, guest workshops, and the opportunity to perform and choreograph in the company's biannual shows.
During auditions, we will be casting for our spring show,
50—a celebration of our company's history.
What happens when a new generation of choreographers responds directly to the themes that shaped earlier HRMDC showcases? We ask that each student or alumni choreographer select the theme of a past HRMDC show and reimagine it through their own movement language.
Auditions will be held on Monday, February 2nd from 9-10:30 PM in the OFA Director's Studio (2nd floor, the Office for the Arts at Harvard, 74 Mt. Auburn Street). Please RSVP by SUNDAY, 2/1 by 11:59 PM! Auditions will include a warm up, improv, and short choreographic phrase.
