You're invited to complete the 2024 Speaker Proposal Submission Form for the SCCTM Conference being held in Columbia, South Carolina, November 21-22, 2024. "Stop, Collaborate, & Listen: Thinking Mathematically Together" is this year's theme. Proposals will begin to be reviewed and accepted in June. The earlier proposals submitted will be reviewed and approved first. Proposal due date: Aug. 1, 2024 Some submissions will go on a waiting list.

By aligning the NCTM Principles of Action with the theme "Stop, Collaborate, & Listen: Thinking Mathematically Together," the focus of the conference will be on creating a collaborative and reflective environment that enhances mathematical teaching and learning.

Listen: Attending to Students’ Mathematical Thinking
- Stress the importance of actively listening to students' mathematical ideas and reasoning.
- Foster an environment where teachers listen to each other's perspectives to enhance teaching practices.
Thinking Mathematically Together: Integrating Mathematical Practices
- Emphasize the NCTM Standards for Mathematical Practice.
- Encourage teachers to engage students in collaborative problem-solving and mathematical discourse.
Communication: Effective Communication in Mathematics
