Please note we match volunteers with flight mile donors. We only accept applicants who are 1) traveling to Ukraine who are returning to their volunteer position and planning to serve there 6+ months or 2) volunteers leaving Ukraine who have served at least 6+ months and are leaving on good terms or 3) highly qualified volunteers going for the first time that have been accepted by a unit (these will be evaluated on a case by case basis). Please be informed that requests for more than one flight (e.g. going home and returning to Ukraine in a couple months) will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Finding a suitable air mile donor and flight takes much more time than simply booking a flight with cash, so if you urgently need a flight due to emergency, we are unfortunately unable to help.
Please note that before being sponsored, you will be subject to verification that may involve providing pictures of your military ID/contract, references and other documentation. Protect A Volunteer respects volunteer privacy and will never share your information outside of our organization without your permission.
Protect A Volunteer cannot assist volunteers who are in any type of legal trouble or who are experiencing mental or physical health issues that result in separation from your unit (excluding physical injuries that will heal in a reasonable amount of time and do not prevent you from returning to serve in your unit or organization).
Volunteers with mental health problem and/or injury shall contact "Safe Passage 4 Ukraine" for flight at evacuations@sp4ukraine.org.
