Disabled Puppy/Kitten Consideration Form
Thanks to a new and specific private funding grant, we are now OCCASIONALLY able to accept puppies or kittens < 12 weeks of age who have a disability (terms of the funding -- not under our control).

You are also welcomed to submit animals < 12 weeks of age who are NOT canine or feline (pig, sheep, goats, rabbits etc) and we will do our best to help or refer.

This form is for shelters, vet clinics, TNR volunteers, rescues, breeders or members of the public who have a puppy or kitten less than 12 weeks of age with a disability who would benefit from rescue.

We do practice breeder discretion and will NOT disclose origin if breeder-surrendered (all animals will be altered when medically appropriate and proof can be sent if desired)

The animal must be IN YOUR PERSONAL POSSESSION or within your organization/clinic to submit this form -- we cannot spend volunteer time chasing down animals who are not in your care and those will be ignored and you will be banned from submitting future forms. Please feel free to pass the form along to the person/organization who has the animal.

Please do NOT take advantage of our all-volunteer organization's time and resources.

You have to be willing to allow us the time to arrange rescue -- we do not work under "urgent" pleas. We are all volunteers who have full-time unrelated jobs and families. The animal must be safe for the short term in order for us to activate our referral network. We will not waste time, but we need to be able to make arrangements. If the pet is on a critical deadline and there is no flexibility then we are unlikely to be able to help.

We also make NO GUARANTEES that we are able to accept submitted animals. We will consider all animals who meet our criteria but we have to have the appropriate resources and foster home available.

We also make no treatment guarantees. Some animals will be accepted and the decision will be made to admit them to our hospice program. These decisions are made based on resources, funding, probability for success and other criteria at the discretion of our veterinarian and medical team.

We are located in Northern California. We do have access to organizations all over the US who also may be able to help. We also have the ability to transport depending on location and need. We cannot make any claims regarding the policies and procedures of other organizations.
