CYBERWARCON 2026 - Volunteer Application

Volunteers are needed to help make CYBERWARCON 2026 (www.cyberwarcon.com) a success.

Volunteering is a great way to network while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the conference and receiving complimentary conference registration in exchange.

CYBERWARCON will occur on Friday, November 20, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. 

Eligibility: Volunteer opportunities are available to all individuals interested in cybersecurity, with priority consideration given to traditional or non-traditional students and career changers.

Please note: CYBERWARCON does NOT sponsor visas, cover travel expenses, or provide hotel accommodations for volunteers. 

Not everyone who applies will be accepted. All volunteers will be notified through this signup form whether or not they've been accepted:

  1. Applications will be accepted through October 23, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.
  2. Wait for an email from the Volunteer Coordinator to hear if you've been accepted or not.
  3. If you've been accepted, you will receive an email from someone on the Digital Project Masters team and an invitation to complete a criminal background check via GoodHire.
  4. Once your background check is confirmed, you will receive the official virtual volunteer orientation & training meeting invite.
  5. All volunteers MUST join the Volunteer Orientation & Training meeting on November 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm ET.

Volunteer Expectations
  • Volunteers must be punctual, respectful, and helpful during their shift.
  • Learning about various aspects of the conference, such as general conference information and program details, is beneficial.
  • Volunteers MUST join the Volunteer Orientation & Training meeting on November 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm ET.
  • Accepted volunteers must pass a criminal background check before attending the Orientation & Training.

CYBERWARCON runs on two volunteer blocks. Read both descriptions before choosing. We can't accommodate shift-time preferences in either block, and you can't switch blocks after acceptance.
