The Friends of Peabody School (FoP)
The Friends of Peabody School (FoP) are a group of parents and teachers dedicated to enriching the educational experience of all children at The Peabody School. Established in 1990, our committee works with staff, teachers, and parents to raise donations, to review grant proposals, and to bring community support to the Peabody classrooms. We meet on the 2nd Friday of each month to review proposals submitted by teachers and staff.
Our Mission
Friends of Peabody was established by staff and parents in 1990 to raise funds to enrich the educational experience of our students. FoP is a nonprofit run by parent volunteers and teacher advisors. We support programs and activities that enhance the in-school learning environment through curriculum-related activities that include field trips, cultural and literacy events, guest speakers, and supplies for special projects. In general, grants for food or bus fees are not funded, unless they are an obstacle to participation of all students.

Teachers and staff are invited to submit grant requests to FoP throughout the school year. FoP members review each request with the goal of ensuring that available funds are fairly distributed among requests from all grades, and that the grant requested provides an opportunity for enriching learning, promoting meaningful connections between students and teachers, or otherwise strengthens the entire school community.
