Hi, and thank you for your interest in working with us! We are a close-knit group of community herbalists looking for a new team member to support in the day-to-day operations of a small but busy retail herb shop and classroom space. We envision this role to start out as a part-time behind-the-scenes position with the hopes of some retail floor support down the road during busy times such as holiday season as well as general fill-in here and there. Behind the scenes responsibilities would include web shop maintenance, herbal product production, stocking, inventory and ordering, some clerical work, herb class support, and so on, with room to grow and explore your strengths and inclinations. We are also looking for support in social media content creation and promotion. Floor duties would additionally include customer service as well as receiving orders.

An ideal candidate would be comfortable with self-direction with guidance and collaboration, detail-oriented, hard-working with good communication skills (creative writing skills a plus!), a quick learner who can problem solve and think on their feet as well as have an aesthetic sensibility. And of course a passion and calling for plants, plant medicine and/or natural healing! We dedicate ourselves to providing accessible plant medicines, herbal education and kind customer service to support our beautiful New Orleans community members as they explore their own healing paths.

We are seeking ~10 hours a week (some weeks may be more, especially when picking up floor shifts). Starting pay is $13/hr during training and $13.50/hr once training period is complete. We plan on starting the interview process the week of June 7th, so please fill out as soon as you can.
