Preparing Coastal Communities for Sea Level Rise with Gulf of Maine Research Institute at the MITA office
As issues related to sea level rise become more prevalent in our daily lives and affect places we recreate in, it's becoming more important to understand the impacts of these events — today and in the future. Ensuring the region's resiliency to climate impacts, such as sea level rise, requires a scientifically informed and engaged public. Here's your chance to become part that group of engaged individuals in your community!

Join fellow MITA members for a presentation exploring the data behind sea level rise. With staff from the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI), we'll explore models projecting impacts in your community and areas we love to recreate, and we'll examine potential resiliency measures.

February 13th, from 5 to 7 pm. Presentation starting at 5:30.
At the MITA office: 100 Kensington St, 2nd Fl, Portland, ME 04103
