Conditions of Membership (as per Constitution of the Society): The Asia Pacific Society of Human Genetics is a non-profit organization, founded in 2006, comprising persons involved or interested in the study of human genetics in the Asia-Pacific region. Its main objectives are to promote research in basic and applied human and medical genetics and to facilitate contact between all persons who share these aims. The Society will encourage and integrate research and professional and public education in all areas of human genetics. It also aims to provide a forum for all the above activities, and to organize and participate in scientific meetings, congresses and symposia and to do all such other things as may, in the opinion of the Board, increase or spread knowledge and standing of human and medical genetics.
The Society is officially registered in Singapore and its business address is 100 Bukit Timah Road, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore 229899. APSHG is also affiliated to the International Federation of Human Genetics Societies (IFHGS), 9650 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20814-3998, USA.
Membership to the Society is open to those with an active interest in the study of human genetics, including basic, applied and medical genetics.
Membership dues for 2020 are as follows:
In Singapore Dollars:
Regular/Junior membership (Biennial Fees): $40
Life-time membership: $250
Corporate membership: $1,200
In US dollars:
Regular/Junior membership (Biennial Fees): US$35
Life-time membership: US$200
Corporate membership: US$1,000
Biennial membership will expire on 31 December of the year after dues are received, i.e. if dues are paid in 2020, please renew your membership by 1 January 2022.
