All Freshmen are in Freshman Band. Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony are auditioned groups for 10-12th graders.

Show Shirt T- Shirt Size *
Show shirt and fit is an athletic. This will be your marching shirt and is part of your uniform. One shirt is included in your fair share, replacements are $20. Show shirt is required for all games and performances.
Glove Size *
This question is used to order our supply for the year. Gloves are $3.00 a pair and may be purchased for cash only in the Uniform Room. Students who play mellophone, baritone, and sousaphone MUST have gloves at every rehearsal and performance.
Financial Information and Fair Share
Fair Share
Fair Share for all students playing an instrument is $200, which is due on the second Wednesday of Band Camp.
Fair Share for Fall Color Guard is $350, which is due on the second Wednesday of Band Camp.
Marching Shoes and Gloves *
Every band and color guard student needs their own pair of marching shoes. An order will be placed during band camp and will include one pair of gloves. Students needing shoes and gloves (including all freshmen and new members) will be assessed an additional $35. Please make appropriate selection below.
NEW - Water Bottles
In an effort to improve water intake at practice and at games, as well as reduce waste, we are requiring all members to purchase a half-gallon insulated water jug that we will provide. Every member will be assessed an additional $10 to offset the cost. This water bottle--when taken care of--should last through all of high school. Every member will be required to have a bottle at every rehearsal, game, and marching band performance.
Payment Schedule Options
1. Pay the full Fair Share by the second Wednesday of Band Camp.

2. If (1.) is not an option for your family, then in order to receive a band shirt for the Premier Show (which is required to perform) we ask that you pay $50 by the second Wednesday of Band Camp, and then fill out and return a Payment Plan sheet which can be found on the band website (http://www.westorangeband.com/info/financialinfo.htm)
Payment Method
SchoolPay is the primary method of payment for OCPS organization. It can be used at any time by anyone to pay. Be sure to include student name on any SchoolPay transaction. SchoolPay links will be available mid to late summer. There will be an email sent out to let you know when they are available. www.schoolpay.com

Freshmen parents: if you login through the SchoolPay site you will not be able to see West Orange Band and Color Guard items until the county promotes your student. This should happen some time in July.
School Instrument Use
All students who use school instruments are asked to pay $50 for the use of that instrument, per semester. No student shall be asked to pay more than $100 per year.

Examples:
A) A French horn player that needs a mellophone for marching and a school French horn for concert - $50 per semester, $100 total.
B) A French horn player that needs a mellophone but will play their personal French horn in class - only $50 for fall semester, $50 total.
C) Percussionists exclusively use school instruments - $50 per semester, $100 total.

In order to use a school instrument (except percussion) an Instrument Check-Out Form, signed by a parent, must be on file.
How much will I owe?
This can all be very confusing! Check each option that applies to you and then add up the options you checked to find out how much we will ask of you this school year. Percussionists need to check school instruments for both semesters.

Additional Information
Please be sure you have sent an email to wowarriorband@gmail.com to be included on the distribution list. Please include your name, your student's name, their graduation year and what instrument they play/or if they are in guard.

An OCPS medical card will be in the student folder given out the first day of Band Camp and needs to be completed and returned prior to the end of Band Camp.

All students participating in Marching Band must have a physical form on file. This can either be an athletic physical form or the band physical form.

REMINDER: Band and Color Guard Fair Share payment minimum of $50.00 is due on the second Wednesday of Band Camp. Students will need to show receipt of payment to be able to pick up their show shirt on the last day of Band Camp (Friday). This shirt is a requirement to march in the premiere show.

Students also need tall black socks with no logos to wear with their uniform. They will purchase those on their own.
Donations for Marching Season- please drop off in the band room anytime
We request these items from all band students for their use during marching season at all home and away games.
