Clear selection
Would you be willing to be paired with a student with research interests outside of your expertise? This would happen in the rare case when we do not have a mentor available to match based on research interests, but can make a match based on other criteria. You could discuss general aspects of being in STEM, coach them on how to find another mentor, or introduce them to someone in your network that knows more about their interests. *
Briefly describe your current research project including any methods that you use (flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, genetic engineering, etc). *
Select any of the following that apply to you AND you would feel comfortable talking to a student about (we will use this information to try to pair you with a student of similar background, if possible). *
Required
(Optional) Describe any additional experiences you've had in graduate school and/or research that you think could be valuable to a student. (took a gap year, worked in industry, transferred schools, etc).
