WVAPA Nominations 2023
Thank you for your interest and participation in the furthering of WVAPA. To nominate yourself or other individual for any open BOD position, please complete the form below. One nomination per form submission, therefore to nominate for more than one position, or more than one individual for a position, please complete a separate form.

Nominations will be accepted for the following positions

President-Elect - One year Term of Office

The President-Elect, in the absence of both the President and the Vice President, shall assume the duties of the President, and automatically succeed the preceding President as President of WVAPA.

Vice President - One year Term of Office 

The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in his absence or vacancy. The Vice President will organize and conduct, with the assistance of the Secretary, all annual elections and be chairman of the Elections Committee.

Secretary - Two year Term of Office

The Secretary shall keep all minutes of all meetings of the WVAPA, be responsible for all WVAPA organizational communications, assist the Vice President on elections, and notify all members of all meetings. He or she shall coordinate services with the management association personnel.

Treasurer - Two year Term of Office

The Treasurer shall maintain accurate records of the financial status of the Association, collect yearly dues from all members, deposit in WVAPA’s accounts all money received by WVAPA, and with the President’s approval, pay all bills approved by WVAPA, and record all receipts of those payments. 

Director-At-Large (1 Position) - Two year Term of Office

The Director-at-Large shall attend Board meetings and shall perform such duties as may be delegated by the President. He or she shall also act as Parliamentarian for the Association.

AAPA HOD Delegate (2 Positions)

HOD Delegates represent WVAPA to the AAPA House of Delegates (HOD), which has sole authority on behalf of AAPA to enact policies establishing the collective values, philosophies, and principles of the PA profession.

Nominations will be accepted beginning May 15, 2023 through May 19, 2023. Additional details/instructions to submit nominations will follow. 

Requirements for candidates: 

● Must be a Fellow member in good standing of WVAPA and remain such of WVAPA and the AAPA for the duration of their term. 

● Must participate in BOD meetings (a minimum of 3 of the 4 quarterly meetings) and fulfill outlined role.

● The elected officers shall take office on July 1st, with the term of office running from July 1st to June 30th.
