"Novy God" with Hillel TLV - Dec 30th
We at Hillel TLV are happy to invite  students to our annual "Novy God" event and welcome together the year of 2025.

*****
Novy god, which translates to "New Year" in Russian, refers to the celebration of the New Year and is celebrated in Russia and many Slavic countries.
In Israel, over a million Russian speaking Jews from diverse cultural backgrounds celebrate Novy God, despite it not being part of a Jewish tradition. Novy God, is a wonderful familial and cultural tradition that marks a time of joy, hope, and new beginnings.

Even if you don't have Soviet roots, you are invited to experience an authentic "Novy God" with a colorful table, a "Novy God" tree, music and gifts from Ded Moroz, the soviet frozen grandpa!

Bring your traditional food, the rest is on us!

What does that mean?
To make the holiday truly special, you will be asked to prepare a "Novy God" dish (if you're not a fan of cooking, champagne will also be warmly received!)
