Protect Survivors of Child Sex Trafficking in Ohio
Ohio Senate Bill 13 (SB 13) was introduced by State Senator Teresa Fedor (D-11). This bill will reclassify 16 and 17-year-olds as minors in cases of sex trafficking. It will help the courts recognize that even without the use of compulsion, the minors are still children being taken advantage of by their abuser. Ohio the LAST STATE in the U.S. who still tries 16 and 17-year-olds to as adults instead of minors.
SB 13 has bipartisan support and passed UNANIMOUSLY in the Ohio Senate. With your signature on this informal petition, you can help the children involved in commercial sex activities be recognized as who they truly are, victims of child sex trafficking.
