Teacher Training Application 2018

The 2018 certified Yoga Hive Teacher Training has four elements:

A long weekend at the Yoga Farm,
Seven days at the Yoga Farm
One weekend immersion at the studio
Individual projects, homework & seva

The Yoga Farm, an intentional bhakti yoga community, is nestled in the central Pennsylvania mountains on the banks of the Tuscarora creek. Just 3 hours from Pittsburgh. Training at the farm includes three delicious and nourishing vegetarian meals per day and shared lodging.

The Yoga Hive's training is rooted in teachings from the Baptiste Yoga methodology and Tiffany Cruikshank's Yoga Medicine curriculum, as well as from teachers who have shaped and influenced both Kimberly and Dezza.

Step Into the Flow
April 27 - 30, 2018 at the Yoga Farm
Step Into the Flow can be taken as a stand-alone retreat for those who want to nurture their practice and have an invigorating long weekend. For those participating in the full 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training, this is your first step. Our weekend starts Friday evening at 6pm with dinner and ends Monday afternoon at 3pm. We will practice asana and meditation, incorporate yoga philosophy and Ayurveda, talk, breathe and practice teaching. Three daily vegetarian meals will be served. Shared lodging is included; with shared bathrooms.

Create the Journey
June 2-8 at the Yoga Farm
The journey to yoga instructor begins now. We immerse ourselves in a yogic lifestyle with a curriculum of meditation, basic anatomy, alignment, hands-on assisting, self-inquiry, Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, and of course, teaching. The program will start with lunch at noon on Saturday, June 2. We will end by 3pm on Friday June 8.

Be the Guide: Full day weekend immersion
June 22 - 24 at the Garfield studio (Begins Friday night at 7:30PM. Please plan to be available full days from 8AM to 8PM on Saturday and Sunday)

Being in Community: Each RYT 200 hour candidate will perform seva duties for a class at the studio for three months to fulfill our karma yoga requirement. Seva means service and will include learning how a studio operates. If you live further than 20 miles from the Yoga Hive, you will complete seva with your home studio with a letter of completion from your supervisor or the studio owner.

Yoga is about relationships with ourselves and each other. We ask you to be fully committed to the process and to our yoga community. Expect homework and personal projects. You must be able to fulfill ALL of the above requirements to complete your certification and receive your certificate of completion. No exceptions.

In order for us to be accountable to one another and to be fully immersed, all participants must be onsite and ready to participate by 7pm the day of the program begins. If you are unable to make or keep this commitment, we will not be able to provide a certificate of completion to you.

RYT200 : $1950 // $150 DISCOUNT if you register by February 1 // Pricing INCLUDES yoga classes at the studio for the duration of the training. If you are a current contract holder, we will put your auto-payments on hold from, April 27 - June 24.

After completing this application, and upon acceptance, you can secure your place in training with either payment in full or with a $500 non-refundable down payment (remainder of tuition due by February 1, 2018)
