Yosemite West 2025 Firewise Annual Volunteer Timesheet
Help us maintain Firewise status by reporting your fire prevention activities.  Risk reduction activities and expenses that occurred throughout the 2025 calendar year are eligible for use in meeting our annual renewal investment requirement. Everyone in the community should spend at least 1 hour per year (or the monetary equivalent, $33.49) performing fire prevention work on their home or property.

1.  Fire Resistant Landscaping (0 – 100 ft. from base of the home)
Examples include: installation of hardscaping, replacing combustible mulches with stone/gravel options, tree and shrub removal, raking and removal of pine needles, leaves, ground litter/debris, tree trimming/limbing, moving firewood, lawn and native grass maintenance, etc.

2.  Home hardening (work done on the home)
Examples include: removing pine needles and leaf litter from roof and gutters, replaced vinyl gutters with metal gutters, ignition-resistant exterior improvements, installing screening on vents, flammable items removed from under decks and porches, inspect roof and replace missing shingles, etc.

3.  Miscellaneous
Please report any time or money spent on fire prevention activities not captured by the previous two questions. This could include things such as vehicle mileage/fuel costs associated with fire prevention activities, time spent organizing community fire prevention activities, etc.

4.  Vegetation Removal
A major component of wildfire risk reduction is the removal of vegetation (shrubs, brush, limbs, trees, etc.). Tracking vegetation removal provides forestry and fire agencies with information on the quantity of potential wildfire fuel that’s been eliminated from the area(s).  The quantity of vegetation removed must be reported annually for Firewise.  
Was any vegetation removed from your property this year?  You do not need to report downed trees that were removed as part of the grant. *
If yes, please estimate the amount of vegetation that was removed in cubic yards (a rough estimate is fine).  The graphic below can be used to help you estimate cubic yards,
