Come out to stop ICE from reopening the abuse-ridden Dublin Federal Prison -- as an ICE Detention Center. This will be a nonviolent protest with speeches, music, chants, signs - with no planned arrests for this action.

ICE is considering detaining immigrants at this facility. ICE already has toured the facility at least twice. FCI Dublin was emptied last April, closed in December 2024, and is a notorious site of systemic staff abuse, mistreatment, unsafe conditions, and medical neglect, especially targeting immigrants. This action is being sponsored by the Dublin Prison Solidarity Coalition, California Coalition for Women Prisoners, California Collaborative for Immigrant Justice, Dignity Not Detention Coalition, Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity, Tsuru for Solidarity, Kehilla Community Synagogue Immigration Committee, Detention Watch Network, Immigrant Legal Resource Center ...and more...to be added.

There are currently no ICE detention centers in California north of McFarland/Bakersfield...due to a decade of organizing to close detention centers. Let's not let them open one up here or anywhere!
