Become a Judge or create a Community Award: Category Judges determine the winners in our eight (8) STEM and four (4) art categories. Judges do not need a STEM or art background, just an aspiration to help students succeed in sharing their hard work.
- Judges commit 1-2 hours asynchronously between May 9th-12th, review their assigned project materials online, and complete a Google form to score the projects.
- Community Awards are prizes local organizations may give after judging projects based on their own criteria.
Become a volunteer: We need local community members to help us with various logistical tasks leading up to, during, and after the fair. Our immediate needs are recruiting volunteers, sponsors, and board members.
Become an exhibitor: STEM-focused organizations are invited to host demonstrations or provide informational slides that will engage and inspire students and attendees to pursue STEM-related careers and learn more about educational resources in DC. Exhibitors with demonstrations or slides should plan to log into Zoom by 9:30 am.
Become a donor or sponsor: DC4STEM is a 501(c)3 organization inviting you to donate to the organization directly or create an award in your agency, company, or organization’s name. Donations and sponsorships will help students at our local fair as well as advance them to national/international fairs. Partnerships and sponsorships are excellent opportunities for your agency, company, or organization to gain exposure through website advertising and prominent signage before, during, and after the event. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500. You can also donate here: https://paypal.me/DC4STEM.
