Colorado COVID Containment AmeriCorps Member Application
This application consists of both short answer and multiple choice questions. Be prepared to submit the contact information for two references. Please allow yourself approximately 30 minutes to an hour to complete this application.

COVID Containment AmeriCorps Members may serve in multiple roles as needed, including (but not limited to) contact tracer, case investigator, resource coordinator and may assist with other COVID containment response efforts as outbreaks and demands for containment efforts fluctuate. In addition to serving at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), AmeriCorps members may support other nonprofit organizations or government agencies supporting Colorado’s most vulnerable populations who have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

COVID Containment AmeriCorps Members will maintain ongoing communication with contacts to assess symptoms, ensure compliance with quarantine and determine social support needs and/or handle reporting of issues that arise. AmeriCorps Members are required to follow set scripts, adhere to policies and procedures provided by state and local partners and accurately record data. They will also comply with requirements regarding confidentiality related to personal information.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will serve as the primary host site (virtually) for the program which has been designed to ensure members have the support needed to succeed in this entirely remote position. A background in Public Health is not required as AmeriCorps members will receive extensive training from CDPHE to prepare them to support the state’s COVID Containment efforts. Members will serve on a team of 5-10 people, under the supervision of a Team Leader (CDPHE staff member).

Community Resource Center is an equal opportunity employer and encourages a diverse pool of candidates to apply.

AmeriCorps Members will serve 1200 hour service terms ending no later than September 30, 2021. AmeriCorps Members can expect to serve 40 hours a week and must be available for service on weekends and evenings.
