For your guidance, each artist may submit:

Up to 4 pieces of 2-D artwork for hanging.
Work should be well mounted, or on a lightweight canvas. Heavy frames will NOT be suitable for this exhibition. Please label the back of each submission stating, artist, title, medium and price.
Up to 5 pieces of 3-D or craftwork.
Please label the back of each submission stating, artist, title, medium and price, unless labelling is not possible.
Up to 5 pieces of mounted work.
Protected with clear film for our browsers, these should be labelled with the artists name, title, price and medium.
Up to 20 packs of cards and 20 individual cards for sale.
The price must be clearly marked in the front top right-hand corner. The name of the maker should be on the back.

Delivery of your artwork

This year we are receiving artwork between 09.15 and 12.15 on Monday 16th June. For ease of parking, we will be allocating you a time slot of an hour to deliver your work, once we have all submissions in. Parking for artists delivering their work will be along the side of the main building at Barnabas. Please enter and exit the building through the side entrance on the right-hand side of the building. If you are unable to bring your work at your time slot, please contact the Exhibition Organiser, Sue Mann on 07803 926261.

Ahead of the exhibition

Once everything is displayed, you and a guest will be entitled to attend an Artists Preview which is the evening of Tuesday 17th June from 19.30 – 21.00. It will also be attended by supporters and friends of the Festival. This will include drinks and nibbles and a chance to see the exhibition before it opens to the public. Please enter using the main entrance.

At the end of the exhibition

Unsold items must be collected between 16:00 - 17:00 on Saturday 21st June. It is not possible to store any of the artwork at the end of the exhibition. Please ensure that if you cannot collect it at this time, you arrange with someone else to pick it up for you between 16.00 - 17.00 on the Saturday 21st June.

Commission

20% commission will be charged on all items sold.

Hanging System

This year we are using a new, improved hanging system. This will involve nylon cord and hooks.

Please use a pair of D rings for each picture, which are used to hang the frame. These can be bought from hardware stores or online.

How to use:

A pair of D rings are screwed into both sides of the back of your picture. They are normally positioned a third from the top of the artwork on each side. They provide an anchor point for picture cord. This is then used to hang the frame. We hope that this helps those people who may not have exhibited their work before.

We reserve the right not to hang any artwork on a display board if it is too large. We will however make every effort to find a suitable place for it to be viewed well.

Disclaimer

In the event that we should receive more artwork than we have space for, we reserve the right to prioritise entries from artists local to Bellevue and Shrewsbury.
