Elgin Opera House Scholarship Application

Friends of the Opera House firmly believes that all youth should experience the joy of live theater.  We offer scholarships, and payment plans for all our programming. We strive to help as many students as possible based on our available scholarship funds.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Need Based Scholarships Awards:

  •  Are obtainable as long as funds are available.

  • Are confidential and awarded to students based on financial need.

  • Cover from 25% to 75% of tuition costs.

  • Are available for all Opera House programs.

  • Can be awarded for specific programs.

Applicants must qualify under one of the following eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Currently be eligible for government support program such as Food Stamps, School Lunch program, Section 8 Housing Assistance program, etc.

  • Currently qualify under the family income guideline as stated by the Oregon State Housing and Urban Development.

  •  Experiencing current financial crisis in the family preventing program participation.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee made up of members of the Friends of the Opera House Board of Directors. A member of the committee will reach out and inform you of the status of your application.
