Mentor Recruitment for Basic Suturing Workshop
SMSANZ is bringing back our Basic Suturing Skills Workshop! Suturing is not explicitly taught in medical school but is something medical students are expected to be competent in by the time they enter their clinical years. SMSANZ aims to provide an introductory, if not additional, course for members to learn basic suturing skills.

SMSANZ is looking for passionate mentors to teach their juniors and future colleagues in this extremely important clinical skill. This is a chance to give back to the medical community and experience the joys of teaching. If that interest and you fit the Eligibility Criteria, please sign up and take note of the meeting/training dates and event date as well! (Please note that you will require a personal suturing kit for demonstration to the participants)

Eligibility Criteria 📜
Understands and can explain the proper procedures for suturing
Interested in teaching basic suturing skills
Able to conduct lessons in an engaging manner
Willing and able to come up with workshop curriculum together with planning committee
Owns a personal suturing kit
