Description:
What's your favorite story? Does it have thieves? Pirates? A monster or two? Perhaps it's about a small dog in a big world or a princess who leaves Home to befriend a Dragon. Whatever you like, you'll love D&D!
D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) is a game of interactive storytelling, usually in a fantasy setting (think Lord of the Rings). The Dungeon Master (also called the DM) is an adult at the table who will create a story and setting for the players to interact with however they decide. Players (that's you!) will create characters with abilities and personalities that fit whatever way they want to play, whether you want to play an athletic human or a 2 legged cat who throws fireballs, there's always an option for you! Players come together with their characters to form an adventuring party and overcome obstacles set in place by the Dungeon Master. Can you outsmart your teachers?
D&D is, at its heart, a game about numbers and cooperation. Players will be able to practice simple addition and subtraction and apply it in a fun way and will practice cooperating to solve puzzles, make plans, and even fight for the lives of their characters at times (like in a video game). So, we invite you to join us. Come, sit, laugh, and answer the question we have all asked ourselves at one point: What would you do if you were the hero?
