Thank you for taking the time to explore our volunteer opportunities! We definitely need all the support we can get for the best Bee Festival yet. Below are some of the opportunities we have for volunteering and how you can help. Scroll down for one or more of these opportunities.
Buzz Run: 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
- Setting up cones and hiding bees in jars around Commons Park
- Checkpoint person(s) to make sure children are on the right path
- Identifying winners and dispersing prizes
Seattle One Day of Service: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
- Sign-in table assistance for One Day of Service participants
- Dispersing of maps and t-shirts
- Directing participants of trash drop-off site
Vendor Setup on Lanham: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
- Help putting up canopies, tables and chairs
- Diverting traffic
- Using provided map to ensure all tables are set up in the correct places
Vendor Setup on Commons Park: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Help putting up canopies, tables and chairs
- Help setting up play equipment
- Putting out recycle, compost and trash bins with provided map
Bee Festival: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
- Coordinating through traffic and providing detour routes on Sylvan Way SW and Graham Street
- Information table with general information
- Runners to provide vendors with water
Bee Festival Clean Up: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
- Picking up trash
- Help taking down canopies, tables and chairs
- Directing traffic in and out of Lanham Pl.
- Retrieving recycle, compost and trash bins
