There is a required playing audition to get placed into the Screaming Eagles Jazz Band which includes the Bb, Eb, and F blues scales and the Chromatic scale in two octaves. There will also be a sight-reading component to the audition. *
If accepted into the program there is a $160 activity fee.  This fee will be billed directly to your TMA account. This fee will include the cost for your Jazz Band T-shirts and any music you will receive.  *

If I am selected to be a member of the jazz band, I understand that this is the premier performing ensemble at TMA and I am committed to attending all of the rehearsals and performances. I understand that there may be a few performances that are outside the regular school hours. I am also committed to practicing the music every week and coming in to rehearsals fully prepared. If for some reason I cannot attend a rehearsal, I will let Mr. Roquel know as soon as possible. Any failure to follow through on these commitments or missing more than 3 rehearsals can result in my removal from the ensemble. *
