By applying for the 2017 All About Downtown Street Fair, you are agreeing to the following rules and regulations:
Booth Space• You will be provided with one 10x10 foot tent and one 6 foot table. Table clothes are not included, please bring your own. You are encouraged to bring additional tables/display racks if needed.• Vendors are not permitted to setup outside of their allotted booth space. All items & equipment must be setup inside your tent, including display racks, signage, dress forms, generators, etc. If you setup on the sidewalk or outside your booth area, you may be subject to a fine or asked to leave. If your display does not fit within the designated size purchased, you may need to purchase an additional space.• NO MUSIC, amplified or live will be permitted. If we receive complaints from other vendors, shop owners or attendees regarding noise from your booth, we reserve the right to ask you to turn it off or leave the festival without refund. There will be multiple stages with performers, bands, and DJs strategically placed throughout the fair.• Electricity is NOT provided.• If you are bringing a generator, you must let us know in advance. Only quiet generators will be permitted. If we receive complaints regarding excessive generator noise, we reserve the right to ask you to turn it off or leave the festival.
Placement• All spaces are pre-assigned. Location numbers will be emailed the week of the event.• Do not call for advanced placement.
Food & Alcohol Vendors • You must have a valid Jersey City Health Certificate in order to sell any type of food. • If you are cooking with an open flame, you must obtain a permit from the Jersey City Fire Department. • If you are selling alcohol you must obtain the appropriate ABC license.
A copy of all applicable permits must be submitted to our office and your booth needs to have copies on display during the event. Inspectors from these agencies may be present during the Fair. The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District will not provide refunds for your failure to show documents or for non-compliance with any Health Department, ABC, or Fire Department requirements.
Liability/Hold HarmlessShould an accident occur caused by the exhibitor’s display, product, or debris left by the exhibitor, the exhibitor will be held liable. By applying to the All About Downtown Street Fair, you agree to save and hold harmless The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District, it’s management, agents, employees & sponsors from any liability resulting from such accident. You will receiver a hold harmless waiver to sign if you are accepted.
WeatherThe Festival will be held RAIN or SHINE. By submitting this application, you accept that this is a rain or shine event. You also accept any liability due to possible changes in the weather. You agree that, should the weather become inclement (rain, snow, sleet, wind, etc.) at any time during the day, no rain date will be scheduled and no refunds issued.
