Are you a clinician? Vermont Providers who work in the fields of homelessness are experiencing significant secondary trauma and we need your support. We are asking for clinicians willing to volunteer their time, however, much or little, to support providers. If you are able, we will call you and talk through how we plan to make this work.
July 1st 473 of the most highly medically vulnerable adults, pregnant people and children will be exited to the street. Unlike other exits, this one is ONLY the most highly medically vulnerable households and children and pregnant people. This will include people in wheelchairs, people on oxygen, people with in home nursing. It will include people in active cancer treatment, in treatment for severe lived, kidney and heart conditions. This will include people who are homebound and bed bound. End Homelessness Vermont is doing everything that we can to help people, but we cannot do it alone. In addition to this, the state has decided not to fund hotel case management and street outreach. Our organization has experienced the death of 6.1% of our clients since September of 2024. And we are seeing catastrophic outcomes every day. Providers across the state need your support.
