SOHL offers a mentoring program targeting graduate students and early careerists having worked in healthcare less than five years. This is an excellent opportunity for you to form a relationship with a mentor to offer guidance and career direction as you begin your career in healthcare.
As a protege, you would talk on the phone or meet with the mentor assigned to you. Your mentor can play a key role in your professional and personal growth and provide guidance in getting your career off to the best start. This may include suggestions on local organizations to contact, other healthcare executives to contact, training, current health care trends, or any other skills or activities that might be helpful given your specific area of interest.
- All mentors and proteges in the program must be current members of SOHL- Your contact information will be provided only to your mentor and will not be posted online or distributed otherwise- Mentor/protege matches will be based your specific interests in your healthcare setting or background- Helpful mentoring guidelines will be provided prior to the Kick-Off
If you are a student in a healthcare program or are an early careerist in healthcare, we would love to hear from you.
