Ferdinand Ave. Corridor Mural Project
**PLEASE NOTE: the date for this event has changed due to weather; this event will now occur on Saturday October 26, not October 5

Join PedalSafe ROA in increasing safety along the Ferdinand Ave corridor between Elm Ave and Riverside Blvd SW!

Volunteers are needed to paint street murals created by Roanoke artist Maggie Perrin-Key, designed to reduce speeding, improve sidewalk and crossing visibility, and increase cyclist and pedestrian safety!

Our day to paint is Saturday, October 26. In the event of rain, this paint day will be postponed and all volunteers will be notified of the change.

We will have 2 shifts that day: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm. You can sign up for morning, afternoon, or both shifts.

We are so thrilled to have you on our team to make Roanoke a safer and more beautiful place!

Volunteer Categories
We need different categories of volunteers to make this project happen.
  • Painting Squad - don't worry, no experience necessary! If you can paint within the lines, that's all we ask!
  • Sign-In Team - we need people to sit at at the sign-in tent to help show other volunteers where to go. Great for folks who need to sit!
  • Painting Co-ordination - we're gonna need some hands to help hand out paint and rollers, and direct the painters where to go. We've got a large area to paint and need help staying organized.
Please indicate below which volunteer area you would like to fill: *
