Aloha and thank you for your interest in supporting (ISC)2 Hawaii's Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM) outreach programs in October. We’re excited with hosting our annual CAM programs and promoting cyber safety with our community members and proud to be an Official CAM Champion Organization (
• Present the Garfield "Safe and Secure Online" presentations at our public libraries*
• Promote cyber safety with community members at our shopping centers
• Facilitate workshops for our kupuna*
• Promote our chapter at conferences
*Opportunity to earn CPEs. For the public library “Safe and Secure Online” presentation, you can earn ten CPEs after giving two presentations (LINK)!
Once signed up, we will contact you and provide final details and answer any questions you may have. Program content is geared to the "introductory level" so you shouldn't have any issues. However, if you want, we can provide any needed assistance.
As a token of our appreciation for volunteering for CAM, we are offering credits that can be used to receive a discounted or free chapter polo shirt. Here are the details on earning credits:
Present at a public library (in person or virtual) = 1 credit
Staff a chapter table at a shopping center = 1 credit (3 hours), 2 credits (6+ hours)
Facilitate a CyberGenerations workshop = 1 credit (2 hours), 2 credits (4+ hours)
Staff Chapter/STEM conference table = 1 credit (3 hours), 2 credits (6+ hours)
Each credit can be redeemed for fifty-percent off or a free shirt with two credits. This offer is limited to one discounted/free shirt for each participating member. Discounted or free chapter polo shirts must be claimed no later than the December Holiday Mixer unless special arrangements are made.
