Dark Green (S to L available), Dark Blue (S to 3XL available) or Dark Grey Marle (M or L available)
- Rules for the league and subsequent tournament are set according to the NAH's 2017 ruleset. - Games will be 12 minutes with stoppages during the round-robin; unlike the latest NAH ruleset. - Teams agree to participate in refereeing and learn about the ruleset. - Assistance will be provided to players needing assistance where possible. - A wildcard team will be scheduled. Any player can fill this team, this is aimed at non-registered players (newbies/visitors), but anyone can fill in. Wildcard team results will not be kept. Games against wildcard will not affect ranking. IMPORTANT: According to the NAH ruleset, teams will have matching shirts available in 2 different colours. We encourage teams to bring their numbered shirts as well as their SBP shirts.League organisers will allow non protected rotors for this competition, as they are harder to come by in Australia.
- Registered teams will play in a round-robin format (everyone plays everyone) for the duration of the league and the event will culminate in a 2 hour final event where a single elimination between the 4 best teams will be organised. - We estimate that teams will play two thirds of the events with 1 to 4 games per night, (mostly 2 or 3) - Rankings work as such: - Teams compete for highest score - Win (3 pts); Loss (0 pts); Tie (1 pt). - Draws will be sorted in order of goal difference, then goal scored finished by round-robins - No "rest" time will be given for teams between consecutive games. - The schedule is pre-published and, as such, no delay will be tolerated for latecomers. - Late teams will use their time-outs if less than 2 of their players are on court after which time games will follow a "1 goal per minute" system, goals being defined as own goals.
OVERALL EVENT FORMAT
- Round-robin followed by top 4 single elimination. - The event is a qualifying event for the Sydney Shit City Winter Tournament scheduled for mid/late July 2017.
Every game will be refereed by other registered teams not currently playing.
Time for meeting is set at 6.30pm for setup, warm up and possible early start. The nightly schedule will be announced at 7pm so all teams should be in attendance as your team may have the first slot. Weekly events will run for 3 hours.
If one of the players is unavailable, a substitute may take their place. If more than one of the registered players is substituted, the team is allowed to play with subs but the score will be lost for a "forfeit", a forfeit is a loss by five - nil.Priority will be given to players who already own a numbered SBP shirt or a Sydney bike polo shirt, which they are expected to bring to the tournament.
