SHDM Pre-Event:   Supporting Ukraine, Ukrainian Civil Society, and Human Rights Defenders

EVENT INFORMATION
This civil society-led event, held prior to the start of the Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting, will provide the opportunity for timely updates on the human rights and security situation in Ukraine resulting from Russia’s invasion. It will also focus on recommendations which should be included in the Moscow Mechanism report, as well as key steps OSCE participating States can take to support Ukraine, Ukrainian civil society, and human rights defenders.

PARTICIPANTS
Representatives of OSCE participating States, OSCE institutions and OSCE executive structures, representatives of inter-governmental organisations, representatives of civil society, experts from academia, think tanks are encouraged to register for the conference.

To ensure constructive and open discussion at the meeting, the event organisers will select participants based on their demonstrated commitment to the values of the Helsinki process and reserves the right to turn down applications for registration without explanations. Due to the space limitations, the organisers may have to discontinue the registration process once the number of approved applications reaches the limit. If such a decision will be taken, information about it will be distributed.
