American Jewish Committee Atlanta (AJC Atlanta)'s LFT program enables young Jewish leaders to develop skills to advocate on behalf of the Jewish people, Israel, and human rights around the world, and to serve as positive change agents for their peers and community. AJC's goal is to ensure that graduates of the program enter college with the knowledge and confidence to engage in ongoing dialogue regarding anti-Semitism and Israel.
LFT will consist of seven or eight high-level, participatory training sessions once a month on Sundays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM beginning in Fall 2018. A majority of sessions will take place at AJC Atlanta's office in Buckhead. All sessions will include a Kosher dinner. The dates of the program will be released in Summer of 2018.
Topics covered will include past and current Israeli affairs, challenges and opportunities facing global Jewry, and how to utilize strategic networks in advocacy.
Admission to this program is highly competitive and will be limited to 25-30 students. Participants will be selected based on their application and an interview, which will take place in August of 2018. There is no cost to participate. The application due date is Thursday, May 31.
