Yes, please. There is no way we can get there without help
No, we can get there on our own via private cars, public buses, BART, etc.
We may be able to get there, but buses or shuttles from BART would help a lot.

If the event were to be competititve, I think:
I would be more likelty to attend and have a chance of earning a prize
Competitions are ok, but should be optional
Competitions are ok, but ensure that schools or students with more resources don't have an advantage.
I don't like the element of competition, but would come anyway.
Competitions should consider the learning process, not so much the outcome or product.
It would be a great motivator.
