Priority Deadline: May 31, 2019. All nominations must first apply using the form below. The Gem Project Board of Directors work together to advance and support its mission, which is: To improve high school to college student engagement, while supporting on-time graduation rates, through peer-mentoring, life-skill workshops and service-learning initiatives that take on a social justice approach. General board commitment is a 2 year-term, which starts July 1. Nominees will also be considered to for current open positions. Please reference our emailed Board of Directors packet for information on the calendar, meeting dates, roles, committees and By-Laws. Official board meetings take place 2nd Friday in Newark, New Jersey and last approx 2.0 hours each month. Meetings alternate between in-person and virtual meeting. Time commitment: Board members are expected to allocate 10 hours/month min. for service. Application: 15-30 minutes. ***Review questions first before beginning. The application can only be completed in one sitting.
