During the four week club, participants will be improving their aerobic base through group runs in Calavera Preserve, improving their ability to clear blood lactate through threshold workouts, and improving their running economy and injury prevention through daily drills and mobility exercises. In addition, athletes will learn the science behind distance running and what it takes to become a successful distance runner at the high school level. This club is open to all HS athletes, no prior experience in distance running is necessary!
Club will be capped at the first 65 participants to sign-up. In order to participate, you must complete the following:1.) Complete the Google sign-up form on the website ASAP2.) Print and fill out the Athlete Registration Form on the website and bring to first club practice3.) Print and fill out the Athlete Release and Waiver of Liability Form on the website and bring to first club practice4.) Bring copy of proof of the participant's medical insurance and bring to first day of club practice5.) Bring $150 check made out to SCHS Foundation WITH Cross Country in the memo line on the first day of club practice
