Forest Hills Tuv Ha'Aretz CSA Sumr/Fall 2021
Welcome to online registration for Summer/Fall shares for 2021! We are pleased to introduce you to our new farm, Norwich Meadow Farm.

Shares will be Wednesdays for 22 weeks, from early June through November at Forest Hills Jewish Center. Early June shares will be nearby in a member's backyard. Details will be sent after signup. If you are unable to pick up in the daytime, you will be able to pick it up from a member's house in the evening for those dates. Note: due to Jewish Holiday conflicts, shares will be on an alternated day of the week during September holiday dates (8,15, and 22) We are still working that out.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership where urban consumers receive fresh, nutritious vegetables while helping to sustain the livelihoods of regional farmers. In a CSA arrangement the farmers pre-sells “shares” of their farm’s upcoming harvest to individuals, families, and institutions.

In order to complete your registration, you must:

1. Fill out the application below.
2. We will invoice you, and give you information about where to send your check, or PAYPAL.
3. Your payment must be received by March 6th to qualify for Early Bird (Savings of $150)
4. All participants will be expected to volunteer either mid-day (truck arrival for 1 hour), evening (2 hours) or unclaimed shares. We will not ask you to commit to a timeslot yet, but merely to indicate your choice of volunteering option on the list below.
5.If you are unable to volunteer, we are offering a limited number of non/volunteering slots. You will be billed an additional $75.

VEGETABLE SHARES are certified organic, locally grown seasonal vegetables from Norwich Meadows Farm.
For vegetable shares, you may purchase a FULL share or a HALF share. A FULL share can be for one household or can be shared between two households. A LARGE share (twice the volume) is also available.
If you choose to split your full share only ONE person will sign up for the FULL Share and indicate who you will be sharing with. You will pick up the full share on a weekly basis, but you will need to coordinate with the other household who will pick up the box and how the vegetables will be divided.
HALF SHARE is another option for smaller households. You will be assigned to pick up the full amount of vegetables EVERY OTHER WEEK.

FRUIT SHARES include fresh, seasonal fruit from Samascott Orchards. The fruit is not organic, but is minimally sprayed using IPM (integrated pest management). Fruit and other optional shares will be added later.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON SHARES we will be offering this year likely include Yogurt, Bean, Grain, Mushroom, and Egg shares.

All members are required to volunteer. You may choose to staff our pick-ups on Wednesdays- either evenings , or mid day for truck arrival (time TBD). Members who do not show up to their chosen volunteer slot, and do not make it up with another slot/job may be excluded from joining the CSA for the following season. We will not ask you to commit to a specific timeslot yet, but merely to indicate your choice of volunteering option on the list below.

We subsidize a limited number of low-income shares. If you would like to apply for a low-income share, or if you have any other financial questions, please contact our core group at

The farm cost of the FULL vegetable share is $550 until March 11th, and $700 after that - plus a delivery fee of $77 - If you pay with Paypal, we will need to add $17 to cover the paypal.

Any surplus of funds is used to subsidize low-income shares and for special events.

Additional details for Fruit and other add on shares will be made available and invoiced separately.
