Activity: Sim and David will be hosting a 12 hour Twitch live stream in aid of Students Hubs on their Twitch channel on Saturday 28th May from 12pm-12am. The event will include a live stream of video game play, an art session, a pub quiz, and a radio play. We are also open to suggestions for other activities.

Aim: We would like to contribute at least £500 to the Student Hubs 15th Year Fundraiser. The deadline to sign up to this activity is the 29th April.

Audience: We’re aiming to reach a range of people - from students and friends of students who might not have engaged with Hub activities (either at a Hub or non-Hub university), our staff networks, and alumni. We may also reach a small amount of anonymous event attendees through Twitch.

Technical: Moderator - Moderators help with the admin side of live streaming, including monitoring the chat in the unlikely event of someone joining the event to be purposefully disruptive. We are looking for at least 3 people to share the responsibility throughout the day

Technical: Comms Lead - A large part of making the event successful will be on attracting new viewers to attend throughout the day, which will involve posting on various social media platforms and making short clips and other engaging graphics to advertise the event. We are looking for at least 3 people to share the responsibility throughout the day.

Technical: Co-host - Live streaming can be draining, trying to balance being engaging in your content as well as through the chat bar and other social media platforms! The co-host will be online in the event to help chat to the people running the different segments. This is not a necessary role and we are only looking for a co-host during the video game segments.

Event: Radio Play - We’ll be hosting a radio play where we’ll virtually act out a play through a Zoom meeting (think a virtual table read or Staged) and are looking for a group of individuals who would be interested in being cast in the role. We will need a lead for the event as well

Event: Art Session - We’re interested in running an art-along-at-home session where one or a few artists can lead a tutorial or engaging session.

Event: Pub Quiz - A classic Saturday night quiz is sure to go down a treat. We’ll need people to lead the event, pull together the quiz and hosts for the events.

Another segment - if you are interested in running another not listed segment OR stream some video game play, you should let us know.
