Healthy Arts for Seniors (HAFS) program is a free photography and storytelling workshop series for Scarborough seniors aged 55+. This year, we are making a Cultural Cookbook!
Participants will take part in a 12-session workshop series on photography, storytelling, cooking, and recipe-sharing.
The Cultural Cookbook, developed by participants, will be published in print and showcased at a launch event.
The workshops will be held between the months of September and October
The workshops will be held at the East Scarborough Storefront (4040 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough)
No previous experience in photography, cooking, or storytelling necessary!
Presented by Scarborough Arts in partnership with the East Scarborough Storefront and Agincourt Community Services Association.
**A newcomer is defined as: an immigrant or refugee who has lived in Canada for less than 7 years. A refugee is a person who was forced to leave their home country and is now located in Canada.
