The Town of Philipstown, the City of Beacon, the Town of Fishkill and the Village of Cold Spring have passed local laws that enable – but do not require – their participation in Community Choice Aggregation (CCA). These municipalities would be able to negotiate electricity supply contracts that better reflect their communities’ priorities on behalf of residents and small businesses. This could include lower rates, more stable rates, more renewable energy sources, or some combination.

Central Hudson would continue to provide the same reliable service and maintenance as they always have. You can opt-out at any time for free, you can return to utility supply at any time for free, and you can choose any other supplier for free.
