High School 7s (Gold Division): November 8th, 2019 (Plays Jan-Feb)

SCYR has three High School Divisions for boys and girls play: Red: Girls 15s (single school), White: Boys 15s (mixed school), and Gold 7s (Single School). New teams can apply to enter any division they feel matches their expected numbers and on-campus affiliation. Competition in the High School league is intended to be organized as locally as possible within each division, to follow standard high school athletic schedules.

Boys Divisions:

White Division: Requires minimum 66% of match roster are students at the core school; new programs can start in White Division; must have at least an ASB club at core school. Division is based on CIF Winter season.

Gold Division: A 7s division that requires 100% own school athletes. 7s is the ideal way for new schools to start rugby programs and get the game known on campus. The game requires smaller participation numbers in the high school season; the format of the league whereby teams play 3-4 team round robins (ideally on Friday nights) at one school, 3 hours max is also ideal to create a fanfare atmosphere. Clusters of 3-4 schools in the same school district starting together is an ideal way to rapidly and successfully grow the high school game.

Girls Divisions:
Red Division: CIF-compliant division; requires 100% single school roster; formal school support for team including GPA monitoring (regular season grade eligibility), letter from school official confirming Red Division compliance, etc.
