Hack a Tech
"Hack a Tech" is a monthly Hackathon organized by the Green Apple Education Foundation, co-founded by students from Dougherty Valley High School who are passionate about promoting technology in youth. The main purpose is to ignite the youth's innovative talent and interest in computer science. No prior computer programming experience is required. Just come with your laptop, learn, work and have fun!
Hack a Tech in May 2018
Time: 2:00pm - 4:00 pm, May 12th, 2018

Location: 2278 Camino Ramon, San Ramon, CA 94583

Theme: Learn what is possible and what is not possible with Artificial Intelligence (AI). There will be live AI demo, videos and team exercise on “design your own AI”. The first exercise is about “design an AI what is not yet possible” and the second exercise is about “design an AI on what if the not possible is possible”. Teams will be formed for these exercises. Presentations are encouraged at the end of the seminar.

Guest speaker: Mr. Duc Haba is an Enterprise Mobility Solution Architect at Cognizant Technology Inc. Previously, he served as the founder and CEO of Swiftbot Inc., CTO at RRKidz, CTO at Motally (acquired by Nokia in 2010), founder and CTO of GreenTomato Software, and Principal at Viant (a.k.a. SVIP, IPOed in 2000). His career began at Xerox PARC. He has 6 patents filed under his name.

Registration Qualification: middle schoolers, high schooler and adults. No previous experience is required. Please bring a laptop.

Space is limited to 30 attendees.
