Medicaid Helps Me Work
Some Michigan legislators want to place complicated and unnecessary work requirements and related bureaucracy on Michigan's Medicaid recipients. At the Michigan League for Public Policy, we believe that Medicaid is a health plan, not a jobs plan, and that these work requirements will only cause more problems for people who are already struggling. But we want to make sure lawmakers hear from YOU.

If you have a personal story about how Medicaid and having reliable healthcare has enabled you to work or look for work, please share it below. Provide whatever personal information you feel comfortable with, as well as a brief description of the story you would like to tell. A staffer will reach out to you shortly.

Your information will not be shared in any way without your permission.

We also encourage you to contact your legislators directly and tell them why Medicaid work requirements will be harmful to you: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-michigan-legislators-to-protect-healthcare-and-oppose-risky-medicaid-work-requirements.
