Backyard Mission Trip Application 2017
The Findlay Ministerial Association and many church congregations and organizations in Hancock county are coming together Saturday, April 22, 2017 to have a day of service in the community. The idea came from the thought that many people will go to other countries to serve, but we have to be able to take care of our neighbors around us too, in our own backyard!

If there is a home repair or maintenance project that we can help your family or organization with, please fill out the information below and submit this to Becky Greeno (N.E.A.T 318 Dorney Plaza), by Friday, March 31, 2017. To reach her by phone: (419) 424-7466.

Someone will contact you before the event, visit your home, and discuss your home repair project, including discussing materials needed for the project, and the times the team will be available to work. The contact person will be your contact person up until the day of the Backyard Mission Trip.

Based on the size and scope of your project --- it may be too large for a one day project. If so, your application will be forwarded to Habitat for Humanity’s Home Repair Program for consideration.

Projects are prioritized by health, safety and accessibility. Based on donations and volunteers, your entire request for service may not be approved.

Briefly describe the type of work you would like done on your home. Attach a separate piece of paper if there is not enough space to list all repairs. Remember that the items listed below will be considered for repair, but the final decision on what work can be done with our time and financial resources will be made at the discretion of the planning committee of Backyard Mission Trip. The work done by Backyard Mission Trip will focus on modest home improvement and beautification. We are asking for projects that can be completed in 5-6 hours on this Saturday. Our volunteers are not professionals and may not be able to make all repairs.
Painting. List all exterior painting requirements. Be specific.

Applicant’s Media Agreement
The Backyard Mission Trip could work with corporate and/or church sponsors. These sponsors provide funds for our projects. Additionally, they provide some of the volunteers to help complete the work on the home or organization. In celebration, some sponsors may wish to publicize the event and/or information about this event in different newsletters, newspapers, radio stations, television, etc.

I/we consent to having information released about our family/organization to sponsors and for possible, but not limited to, the organization’s newsletters, and website. This may include, but is not limited to, photographs and interviews as well as in-home visits from elected officials.
