It is a state requirement that you turn in the results of three game scores by SEPTEMBER 4. These games should be with other Special Olympics teams. If you have problems answering the above questions, please call the state office for further information. Please check if you acknowledge this requirement. *
Scores submitted by teams registered for the SW regional tournament on 9/14/18 will be accepted.

Flag Football Levels
Level 5 - High
Offense - plays by regulation rules; has high to excellent skills and athleticism; implements strategies; runs specific plays; several players can catch a pass while running; reacts to the way the other team plays; quarterback has accurate and strong arm; several players have excellent speed and quickness.
Defense - able to play aggressively without being physical; can adjust to audible calls; defense can read quarterback; has speed at rushing and pass coverage; can mark up man to man; ability to accurately pursue the ball carrier from any angle.


Level 4 – Transition
Teams in this level meet or exceed all of the characteristics of Level 3 teams. However, when evaluating personnel numbers and/or overall skill and athleticism, teams in Level 4 do not have as many players performing at the higher level and most players are not ready to compete in Level 5.


Level 3 – Average
Offense - plays by regulation rules; has average skills and athleticism; some knowledge of strategy; runs general plays; a couple of players can catch a pass while running; limited ability to react to the way the other team plays; quarterback with accurate or strong arm; average speed and quickness.
Defense - unable to play aggressively without being physical; has difficulty adjusting to audible calls; defense can make basic reads quarterback (pass or run); has average speed at rushing and pass coverage; has difficulty marking up man to man; can pursue ball carrier but has trouble accurately gauging the appropriate angle of pursuit.


Level 2 – Transition
Teams in this level meet or exceed all of the characteristics of Level 1 teams. However, when evaluating personnel numbers and/or overall skill and athleticism, teams in Level 2 do not have as many players performing at the average level and most players are not ready to compete in Level 3.


Level 1 – Low
Offense - following rules is a challenge; low skills and athleticism; little strategy; no organized plays; players not able to catch a pass while running; not influenced by the way the other team plays; quarterback with limited accuracy and arm strength.
Defense - defensive skills limited; will not adjusting to audible calls; defense will not read plays; speed is not a factor and will have difficulties with pass coverage; might pursue ball carrier; will need verbal instruction continuously.
